Opinion on purchase please - 1986 Savage

Hi guys,
I just put a $100 deposit on a 1986 Savage, 13.3K miles, with some minor dents on right side tank (fixable). Cost $1500. Opinions please. Is this a good deal? Is there anything I should worry about in a 1986?
